On the Eve of Kindergarten {Trifextra}

Sleep my sweet princes and dream…

Of dragons and dinosaurs

Wands and wizards…

While I whisper a prayer  unto you:

that your “happily ever afters

are only aonce upon a time away.

My Muse has been hiding and quiet the past few weeks. I wasn’t even going to write for this challenge, but this morning I woke up thinking of what I’d like to say

to Giovanni & Jacob, on the day before, the EVE of Kindergarten.

These were the words that found me.

Thank you for visiting , hope you’re having a wonderful weekend.

Trifecta this weekend asked us to retell a bedtime story in 33 words.

I offer a prayer instead.

  1. Oh, Kir. This especially touched me this morning. I’ve been crying o and off since Thursday when we met their teachers. Hugs to you. I’ll be thinking of you tomorrow.

  2. I hope your princes are excited for tomorrow and that mom will be okay too! This was so sweet and lovely. Even though I’m not writing much (or commenting) I am always reading your lovely words. Have a gorgeous Sunday!

  3. Sugary sweet – which is what was asked for. Good job.

  4. A beautiful piece of writing, So much conveyed in just 33 words.

  5. Your sweet boys are going to rock kindergarten! Xoxoxo

  6. Awww! This is so sweet! Love it.

  7. This was incredibly sweet. I hope your little guys have the best time in kindergarten.

  8. So, so heartfelt, Kir, this made my nose tickle.

  9. What a lovely tale. Perhaps you could put it in a photo book of their first day of K for them to keep?

  10. So your piece was adorably sweet and then you throw in the picture and now I’m just a puddle of goo. Congratulations haha

  11. So sweet. Hope the sweet little princes have a blast on their first day of school. My youngest just adores school. Thankfully. :-) Thanks for linking up.

  12. This is so sweet. I love the last two lines! It’s funny, but both of my boys’ transitions to kindergarten were easier for them than they were for me. I hope your princes have a wonderful first day!

  13. Kir, this is just lovely! The last two lines in particular – so sweet poignant. I have two little princes too, and so it really struck a chord.

  14. Beautiful piece, Kir! My son is about to start Kindergarten too – so crazy how quickly that happened. I’m so glad you decided to link up! :)

  15. I can’t wait to hear how the first day went!! I’m sure that they loved it though.

  16. So sweet. My heart is aching with all of the back to schools this week.
