Don’t Wake Me {Trifextra Weekend}

She woke before him, while the sun was still stretching, and placed a hand on his bare chest to touch the beat and heat of him.

Fantasy and reality’s amalgamation never felt so good.

Trifecta Weekend

This weekend we are assuming that many of
you are slogging your way through leftovers and family bickering (or is that
just us?) and thus we’re going way easy on you.  This weekend we are asking for
a 33-word free write.  Give us whatever you’ve got.

  1. I lie awake watching my husband sleep sometimes, it’s comforting to know he is there, beside me. I really liked the feelings in this piece.

  8. So lovely. In my family, lately, it’s my daughter in bed next to me and my husband displaced onto the couch. There’s nothing like kissing that sweet soft baby cheek first thing in the morning, so I don’t complain. :-) Thanks for linking up. Don’t forget to vote!!

  11. “while the sun was still stretching” <——- Oh, how I love this!

    This is so lovely and tender. Hubs usually wakes up before me since he leaves for work so early. But he had all of last week off, and this was my reality almost every morning. Such a fabulous way to start the day. And you nailed that feeling perfectly.

    Love your words. You rock, my friend.
